In Memory of Henry E. Vick

Henry E. Vick, 81, of Fayetteville died Saturday, December 9, 2006 at Fayetteville City Hospital.

He was born September 16, 1925 in Prentis, Mississippi to the late George and Verdi Vick. The Vick family moved to northeast Arkansas where Henry married Betty Ruth Brown in 1949 and lived in Marked Tree until moving to Fayetteville in 1990. He was a devoted Christian, husband, father, godfather, uncle, and friend to many.

Henry was a member of Christ's Church of Fayetteville. He was also a three time retiree; first as a foreman from the Federal Compress and Warehouse, then from the University of Arkansas, and finally with the Fayetteville School District on June 30 of this year.

Henry is preceded in death by his daughter, Cynthia Rose Vick.

He is survived by his wife Betty; daughter, Connie Vick and Robert Bell all of the home; his godson, Alex Self of Bentonville; grandchildren, Brandon, Megan and Hannah Byers of Springdale; and a host of many nieces and nephews; and his brother Leonard Vick of Harrisburg.
