Passover

Exodus 2-13

For the better part of 12 chapters the story of the Passover is developed. Key to understanding this story is Exodus 2: 25, "So God looked on the Israelites and was concerned about them."

Who said God doesn't care? There is a philosophy among certain 'Christian' groups that God doesn't intervene in the course of human affairs and events. These are the folks who believe the day of miracles is past.

Somehow I have difficulty accepting their idea that God has left me totally on my own to negotiate a sin and disease infested world.  I prefer to continue in accepting the Bible as my rule of faith and conduct; including Hebrews 13:8, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever." And, John 1:1, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2) He was with God in the beginning. 3) Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4) In him was life, and that life was the light of men." And finally, verse 14), "The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth."

This is just a reminder that He was there all the time, and will never leave us! He looks on us and is concerned...

You CAN cast your cares, worries, and anxieties on Him - He cares! The application of His blood on your behalf nearly two thousand years ago is far more effective than that of personal sacrifices.
