Praying for healing

James 5:13. Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise.

 14.  Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord.

 15.  And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven.

 16.  Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

What are the dynamics of implementing these verses when we pray?

Let’s look at this verse-by-verse:

Perhaps fundamentally important would be an evaluation of what our attitude is toward those in trouble. How do we respond to someone with, or in, trouble?

What if we enjoy an up-beat group and someone becomes a 'downer' with their problems? What was James saying...if you are happy, sing songs of praise, don’t criticize those who are in trouble?

What if problems or sickness is happening to you? "Is anyone sick?" Asking for prayer is humbling…there’s a lesson here.

If we are living in humility with one another, we will be asking forgiveness, praying for one another, being lifted up, and, I hope and believe that we could be experiencing various forms of healings.

Is this a guarantee or formula for Divine Healing? No. You can't put God 'in a box' or coercively back Him in a corner where He 'must' comply with our requests. We must always 'let' God be God and we remain children of very limited understanding.
